the importance of artificial intelligence in the democratization of justice

Abstract

The main objective of this article is to explore the necessity and benefits of the use of technological resources, among which the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), within the scope of Public Defender's Office. To do so, we analyze the current reality of the Brazilian Public Defender's Office, but, briefly, through its social evolution until its Institutionalization from the Federal Constitution of 1988, seeking to identify how current technologies can contribute to a new reality of serving the most vulnerable citizens through legal advice provided by the State, allowing the fight against social inequality and broad access to justice in a dignified way to those who need more attention from the Public Power.
